Google joins Samsung in Apple lawsuit

According to a Korea Times report, search giant Google has joined forces with the Samsung against Apple in the legal battle that's being waged around the world. A Samsung insider told the publication that it's likely that the fight could be resolved with a "cross-licensing deal".

"It's too early to comment on our game plan (with Google) in the legal battle; but we will do our best to get more royalties from Apple, which has benefitted from our technology," said the insider.

The chaebol's products have been feeling the heat, with bans blocking the Galaxy Tab and the Galaxy Nexus in the US. Its flagship Galaxy S III was also a target, though Apple failed to convince the judge and will have to file a different motion for a hearing later.
