Train service at Paya Lebar resumes, following delays

SINGAPORE: Train service between Paya Lebar and Pasir Ris MRT Stations is now running well, according to a tweet from SMRT just a few minutes past 4pm on Sunday.

SMRT had earlier warned commuters on Twitter about delays between the two stations.

One hotline caller told Channel NewsAsia that he was at Paya Lebar station, waiting to get on to the train to the Singapore Expo when service stopped.

He was waiting at the platform when he heard the train behind bump into the stationary train.

He later realised that the operator was probably using the force to push the train, "but it made a huge sound."
