S'pore public libraries help keep Asian folklore alive

SINGAPORE: Singapore's public libraries are helping to keep Asian folklore alive by sharing them with visitors.

It's all happening in 'World of Stories', a community arts initiative at 12 libraries.

Visitors will be greeted by a two-metre-tall book, filled with handmade puppets. Every library has a different book - with its own story.

Visitors can take part in storytelling sessions, traditional craft workshops, as well as song and dance performances.

'World of Stories', organised by the National Arts Council and the National Library Board, is on until June 3.
