S'pore, British PMs discuss ways to strengthen cooperation

SINGAPORE: The leaders of Singapore and the United Kingdom have expressed satisfaction with their countries' longstanding bilateral relations.

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his British counterpart David Cameron also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the economic and science and technology sectors.

Mr Lee also sought the UK's continued support for the successful conclusion of the ongoing EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (EUSFTA) negotiations.

The two leaders also exchanged views on recent developments in Asia and Europe and other international issues.

They held a breakfast meeting at the Istana on Friday during the British leader's stopover visit.
