Samsung Galaxy S III unveiled in leaked press invite

We reached out to Samsung on the validity of the invite, and was told that the company does not "comment on rumors or speculations" and that the "successor to the Galaxy S II smartphone will be unveiled in the first half of the year, closer to the commercial availability of the product".

That's nothing said in the statement that we do not already know, so make what you will of it. However, the image could easily be mocked up, and if true, most media outlets would probably have gotten an invite from Samsung by now. Samsung has been keeping its cards close to the chest when it comes to its upcoming flagship handset. However a leaked press invite seems to have revealed a sleek new design that is a huge deviation from previous form factors, especially with its silvery surface.

If the invite is accurate, then expect to see Samsung's new flagship smartphone unveiled in London on May 22. Rumored specs include 4.65-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. This would make it the first no-Pentile OLED display with HD resolution in a mobile phone. Lastly, rumors are also pointing to an S III with a quad-core processor and possibly LTE support.
