SAF sharpens information and knowledge-sharing edge with new unit

SINGAPORE: The Singapore Armed Forces has sharpened its information and knowledge-sharing edge.

This comes with the setup of a new military community.

The community integrates the Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) capabilities of the Armed Forces.

The goal is to sharpen the military's edge in information superiority.

Previously, the various C4I components of the defence forces have existed separately under the army, navy and air force.

The new group brings all of them together.

With the integration, information can be relayed to troops faster, so critical battlefield decisions can be made rightly.
