Singapore shares end flat

SINGAPORE - Singapore share prices ended flat on Wednesday, in line with their Asian peers amid continuing doubts over the state of the global economy.

The blue-chip Straits Times Index (STI) fell 0.1% or 2.93 points to 3,015.98.

In the broader market, overall volume traded was 1.28 billion shares. Falls overwhelmed gainers 230 to 137.

Among the losers, Wilmar International dropped 1.4% to S$4.95, Golden Agri-Resources slipped 1.3% to S$0.77 and Noble Group gave up 0.7% to close at S$1.38.

Property counters were mixed. CapitaMalls Asia dropped 0.9% to S$1.68, while its parent CapitaLand added 0.3% to close at S$3.15. City Developments rose 0.3% to S$11.12, while Global Logistic Properties ended flat at S$2.17.
