Sentosa to hold evacuation drill

SINGAPORE: Sentosa is holding an evacuation drill Tuesday evening at one of its attractions on Siloso Beach.

About 1,800 people will participate in the inaugural Community Resilience Day exercise which will be held at Songs of the Sea.

The crowd will largely be made up of the island's business operators, staff and their family members and friends who have volunteered for the exercise.

The drill aims to heighten public awareness and reinforce emergency preparedness among staff and the island's business operators.

It is the first mass exercise to involve members of the public.

To facilitate the drill, the last show for the public at Songs of the Sea will be 7.40 pm.

The 8.40 pm show will be closed to paying guests on Tuesday.

A statement from Sentosa Development Corporation said the public can call 1800-SENTOSA (7368672) if they have queries on the drill.
