Active ageing products and services showcased at 50plus Expo 2012

SINGAPORE: 147 exhibitors are showcasing their products and services which promote active ageing at the 50plus Expo 2012.

It is being held at the Singapore Expo till March 25.

Among the products and services, visitors can see iRobotQ from New Zealand - a "health droid" that performs tasks for the elderly.

The robotic companion is small enough to sit atop a bench and can be used by seniors for medication reminders, vital signs measurement and entertainment.

The expo will also hold demonstrations, talks and sharing sessions - so those aged 50 and above can get tips on how to live well in their golden years.
